Spanish is the official language of more than 20 countries and it is the fourth most commonly spoken language throughout the world. It is spoken by almost 400 million people worldwide - about half of the population in the Western Hemisphere speaks Spanish, making it the primary language for as many people as English. Choosing to learn Spanish has become increasingly popular, especially in the United States and in Europe, because the language has practical implications in academic, personal and professional lives of many people.  

We offer a variety of immersion programs for the novice to the advanced learner. Courses are aimed at getting students to communicate effectively in a variety of real-world situations. Courses are specially tailored to the student’s learning needs and goals. Classes are small, with 2-5 students per instructor in order to give the student plenty of personal attention and highly individualized instruction. 

Learning Spanish in Nicaragua will give you the opportunity to study the language in the context of its culture - you will truly get to know the country, its people, and the Nicaraguan way of life.  

Programs:

Expanded Spanish: The Expanded Spanish program is an immersion and super intensive Spanish language program consisting of 2 weeks -one of 35 hours and another of 25 hours- of theoretical and practical lessons combined. Classes can take place at the colonial city of Granada, in Masatepe (an eco-tourist farm) or at both locations.

    Costs: 2 weeks – USD $725, Each additional Week – USD $380 

Spanish Lessons Only: Enjoy Spanish lessons that are dynamic, easy, effective and fun. Take Spanish lessons in Granada and while enjoy the history and architecture of the city. Participants can register for 5, 10, 15 or 20-hours of instruction per week of Spanish lessons only.

    Costs: 1st week (based on 15hrs of instruction) – USD $250, Each Additional Week – USD $200 

Accommodations:  Participants can stay with a local host family, or guesthouse. We can also arrange for participants to stay at a hotel for an additional cost. 

Start Dates and Duration:  The school offers continuous instruction, so students can begin any time they wish. The program can last any length of time from 2 weeks to 3 months. We ask that participants not arrive December 23-26 in order to allow our coordinator and his staff to spend the Christmas holiday with their families.
