Application Fee: $100  (refundable only if we are unable to find a placement that matches your request) 

* Due to higher housing costs, there is a $140 supplement each two weeks for the women's empowerment programs.

Start Dates

The programs in India have completely flexible start dates most months of the year. During the summer months of May, June, July, and August orientation starts every other weekend in order to create a better experience for participants. Participants should arrive the Friday before orientation begins. Summer 2008 arrival dates:

Housing

Participants will stay in housing provided by their placement. The accommodation includes three basic vegetarian meals a day.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in the program fee. We prefer to let participants decide what kind of coverage they need. Please see our FAQ page for information on travel insurance.

All prices are listed in US Dollars. The program fees reflect the costs ELI faces when setting up a program. We work hard to keep our costs as low as possible. ELI is a registered 501(c)3 non profit. US taxpayers may be able to deduct some or all of the program fees.
