In addition to these core courses students can take supplemental instruction in Chinese language and culture. Students take up 22 hours of lessons a week over the course of a 16 week semester. Classes are divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Separate instruction covers reading, writing, speaking, listening and comprehensive language skills. Courses in Chinese culture are also available for more advanced students. Students with nearly native Chinese language ability may qualify for additional courses. |
