Ecuador

Programs in the Galapagos cost an additional $70 for each two weeks. The programs can last up to six months. Each additional 2 weeks costs $140.

Spanish Classes

Spanish classes are not included in the program fees but can be set up either at a language school or with a private teacher in Quito. The classes cost $6 an hour. 

Start Dates

The programs in Ecuador have completely flexible start dates most months of the year. During the summer months of May, June, July, and August orientation starts every other Monday in order to create a better experience for participants. Participants should arrive the Saturday or Sunday before orientation begins.

In December, we ask that participants not arrive on December 24 or 25. This allows our coordinator to spend the Christmas holiday with her family. 

Housing

Accommodation is with a local host family. Participants will be provided with their own room and breakfast and dinner each day.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in the program fee. We prefer to let participants decide what kind of coverage they need. Please see our FAQ page for information on travel insurance.

All prices are listed in US Dollars. The program fees reflect the costs ELI faces when setting up a program. We work hard to keep our costs as low as possible. ELI is a registered 501(c)3 non profit. US taxpayers may be able to deduct some or all of the program fees.
