Who Are We?

ELI is a registered non-profit organization, founded in 2001, that partners with organizations from around the world that make a difference in their communities. And we work closely with these groups to ensure ELI volunteers get meaningful experiences at reasonable prices.

ELI's full name, Experiential Learning International, reflects our philosophy. We believe that the most compelling life lessons come through experience, and that international experiences are among the most profound influences on our sense of self and our view of the world.

ELI sees learning as a lifelong journey: our programs are not limited to students, and we welcome participants 18 and older of all nationalities.

We have something for everyone: whether you want to teach in Ghana, work in an orphanage in Nepal, animal rescue in the rainforest of Ecuador, or medical clinic in South India. Fees for these programs are set by our partner organizations, but ELI makes every effort to keep them as affordable as possible.

What Makes ELI Different?

Our staff is experienced and knowledgeable. Our rates are among the lowest. Our relationships with our foreign partners are based on mutual trust and respect.

Non-Profit Status

ELI has been granted 501(c)(3) non-profit status. US taxpayers may be able to deduct much of the cost of their volunteer program, including airfare. Please contact us for more information.
