• Academic Quality! ELI partners with top-tier institutions of higher learning and each university independently maintains resident faculty and staff according to the requirements of their respective host country.  Our schools have consistently received the highest marks from government oversight commissions confirming the high quality of instruction your students will receive. As accredited universities which issue their own transcripts, there is no need to 'broker' credit and the transfer process is simple and direct.
• Health, Safety and Security. Our staff takes student safety very seriously and our emergency action plan is designed to mitigate crisis situations. In-country coordinators have access to top quality medical facilities.
• We enroll students directly into the host university's academic system. This provides your students the most authentic immersion experience possible as they will take classes with host country national professors and share the classroom with host country students. Also, due to the nature of our partnerships, your students will have access to broad course catalogues of English-language courses!
• Our experienced staff is knowledgeable about our locations and can provide in-depth, pre-departure academic and cultural counseling. At ELI, we give each student the individual attention they deserve and we invest ourselves in making their experience rewarding and enjoyable. We are always available to answer questions and we develop personal relationships with students as we guide them through the application and pre-departure process including, obtaining a visa and a passport, travel insurance procurement and international travel services.
• We emphasize cultural immersion! As students take steps towards global citizenship, we are there to help them build bridges across cultural divides in the countries where they study. Our in-country coordinators are host country nationals with years of experience introducing students to a new culture. Our well-established service learning tie-ins give students a chance to engage the local community in a way that guarantees a deep, lasting impact on both sides. When students study abroad with ELI, they walk away with a very clear sense of what life is like for people in the host country.
• In-country support 24/7. Our host-country coordinators know the ins and outs of student logistical issues and offer their expertise around the clock. In addition to facilitating service learning, our coordinators will register your students with the local government, give them a detailed orientation to the local geography and culture, assist them in dealing with the host school, provide them with health and safety counseling and facilitate local transportation. The in-country coordinator will also match each student with a peer-tutor who will act as your student’s built-in friend!
• ELI's size and professionalism. We work with small amounts of students on a case-by-case basis. We are flexible and able to deal with each student individually and therefore address problems promptly and directly while avoiding bureaucratic headaches and delays. Our professionalism and attention to detail ensures that relations with the home institution, from promotion to processing financial aid to approval of credit transfer will run smoothly.
• Ongoing support. We keep our students up-to-date on the latest in the world of international education. After they return home we give them the support the need to re-adjust to life in the U.S. and help them contact networks of students with similar experiences.
