Programs require at least a two week commitment with a 6 month maximum. Every additional 2 weeks costs $280. 
Start Dates The programs in Tanzania have completely flexible start dates most months of the year. During the summer months of May, June, July, and August orientation starts every other weekend in order to create a better experience for participants. Participants should arrive the Friday before orientation begins. We ask that participants not arrive December 23-26 in order to allow our coordinator and staff to spend time with their families during the Christmas holiday.
Housing
Participants stay in a compound house with other volunteers and members of a Tanzanian family.

The program fees reflect the costs ELI faces when setting up a program. We work hard to keep our costs as low as possible. ELI is a registered 501(c)3 non profit. US taxpayers may be able to deduct some or all of the program fees.
