Application Fee: $100  (refundable only if we are unable to find a placement that matches your request) 

Agriculture and Eco-Tourism Programs
Program fee depends on the choice of accommodations

Option 1 - $ 490 per week if staying at Pochote in private rooms.
Option 2 - $ 390 per week if staying at shared room at Pochote.
Option 3 - $ 295 per week if staying with a campesino family.

Housing
Participants have the choice to stay either with local host families or in a volunteer house with other volunteers. Participants are served three meals each day.

Start Dates

The start dates for the Nicaragua programs are completely flexible.  We ask that participants not arrive December 23-26 in order to allow our coordinator and his staff to spend the Christmas holiday with their families.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in the program fee. We prefer to let participants decide what kind of coverage they need. Please see our FAQ page for information on travel insurance.

All prices are listed in US Dollars. The program fees reflect the costs ELI faces when setting up a program. We work hard to keep our costs as low as possible. ELI is a registered 501(c)3 non profit. US taxpayers may be able to deduct some or all of the program fees.
