  • 1/15 - Denada, our first participant from Albania, traveled with a friend to Shanghai, China to participate in the Medical Internship Program.
  • 2/15 - This is how the streets were in Shanghai, with LOTS and LOTS of people. There were so many you couldn't even breathe.
  • 3/15 - This is what the hospital looked like inside. This was the Neuology department.
  • 4/15 - With the accupuncture doctor in the hospital. He was so friendly and even tried to accupuncture me. I was so scared at first :P Chinese Traditional Medicine was really interesting. I think we should put this subject in our universities :)
  • 5/15 - This is one of the operation rooms. They were so clean and organized.
  • 6/15 - This is me in the operation room. The doctors helped us to attend some procedures and they explained how medicine worked in China. We learned a lot of things that were different from our country.
  • 7/15 - Surgery
  • 8/15 - Massage: This was so funny. These guys beat us all over our bodies with those sticks, even on the head, and to our surprise, afterwards, we felt relaxed and energetic.
  • 9/15 - With a beautiful Chinese girl. They all looked at us as though we were from another world and wanted to make a photo with us. It was so funny because they stopped us on the streets and were so happy happy to make photos with us.
  • 10/15 - Food in China was not very good for my taste. They ate strange things and cooked with sugar and spice. I could only eat KFC for the whole entire month. If you want to lose weight, go to China.
  • 11/15 - The old city, Yuyuan Garden. The only part of Shanghai that was traditional and it was very beautiful. You could find temples, tea houses, and pagodas. Very interesting place to visit.
  • 12/15 - China Pavilion in Expo Shanghai. Expo was really intereating. For the Chinese this was the biggest even in their country. "Haibao", the mascot, was everywhere--even in the electricity bill :P. Better City, Better Life.
  • 13/15 - Praying in a Chinese temple, Taoism temple. They offered their gods fruits and burned some scented candles.
  • 14/15 - Zhujiajiao, Shanghai's Venice. A very picturesque place to visit.
  • 15/15 - Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing, a city near Shanghai
