MOROCCO: Education for Underprivileged Youth.
The Moroccan government has made a push to improve literacy and promote professional development through the National Initiative for Human Development (NIHD). Despite their efforts to development marketable skills in Moroccan youth, many have not seen the benefits. Foreign language acquisition, particularly English and French, has long been a prized skill of educated Moroccans, but there is a large segment of society that has been neglected. Our volunteers work with underprivileged children teaching them English, French and information technology. Volunteer tasks include running small workshops, helping local teachers, organizing instructional games, and other helpful activities. Volunteers can also help in summer camps. Because of the flexibility of scheduling, this is an ideal program to combine with Arabic of French studies. Questions? Click here
